Gregg Renfrew Steps Down from Beautycounter

The founder and executive chair leaves nearly one year after turning the reins over to Marc Rey.

Gregg Renfrew, the founder of Beautycounter, has stepped down as executive chair. Renfrew sold the company to The Carlyle Group in 2021. Last year, Beautycounter hired Marc Rey as CEO. Prior to that appointment, Rey served as CEO of Shiseido Americas. As Beautycounter gets a makeover, Rey announced several appointments.
